There are so many lubricants on the market. Ever wonder which one to use? Here are some we love and their uses, benefits, and precautions.
Uberlube: Silicon based

Benefits: Moisturizing (contains vitamin E), biostatic (bacteria, mold, yeast can not grow in it), only 4 ingredients, no preservatives, no fragrances, pH 4.6 (good for vagina)
Best for: People prone to yeast infections, changes in ph, changes in bacteria or have fragile vaginal tissue
Caution: Not for use with other silicon products (silicon dilators, wands, trainers, toys)
Good Clean Love: Water based
Uses: Condoms, toys, and tools
Benefits: Moisturizing, no preservatives, no fragrances, pH-balanced for healthy bacteria, long lasting, natural plant based ingredients including alo-vera
Best for: People with delicate and sensitive skin
Chaivaye: Oil based
Uses: Non-latex condoms, tools and toys, vaginal moisturizer, prevent chaffing, nipple serum, make-up remover, body oil
Benefits: Contains vitamin E, no preservatives, no fragrances, pH-balanced, long lasting, multi-purpose product

Desert Harvest: Water (alo-vera) based

We have all of these for use in the clinic! We also have samples of Uberlube and Good Clean Love to give patients. We just got Uberlube samples in last week. As a runner, I’m excited to try it out for anti-schafing with running.
